Alumnae Panhellenic of Southern Dallas and Ellis Counties
Betty Jo, AF, is president of the Southern Dallas & Ellis Counties
Alumnae Panhellenic. She is a very active member of Alpha Phi Fraternity and has been part of the fraternities’ regional team, as their Alumnae Membership Coordinator, for the past nine years. Locally, Betty Jo remains active in the SWDallas Area Alumnae Chapter, where she has held the offices of Philanthropy Chair, Treasurer, Fund Raising Chair and President Betty Jo has also been involved with collegians as financial advisor at the Delta Beta Chapter of Alpha Phi at Texas A & M Commerce University.
She also is a founding member of the Far North Dallas AF Alumnae Chapter, where she helped her daughter & sister, Karla Hardy Allford, charter that Chapter in 2000.
For the past 26 years, Betty Jo has been employed as the Office Manager & Sales Representative for PACO Pumps and looks forward to retirement. Then, she will have more time for her volunteer efforts! She lives in Duncanville, TX with her husband Dewayne. Together they share 8 “grand” children, 2 of which are Alpha Phi legacies!
Sandy is a graduate of Baylor University and a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. She holds the office of Vice President of our alumnae Panhellenic. Sandy graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry, and is a practicing dental hygienist in Grand Prairie, TX. She lives in Duncanville with husband Rich, and has 2 children – Justin and Megan. Megan - Alpha Phi, OU, is a 2009 graduate of the University of Oklahoma and a past recipient of our collegiate scholarship. Sandy loves to garden, quilt, and play golf!
TREASURER AND REFERENCE CHAIR: KATE FRANCIS
Kate is a graduate of Texas Tech University and a member of Delta Delta Delta, Phi Eta chapter. She was the Chapter Vice President of Finance, Panhellenic representative and Chair of the Standards Committee. Locally, Kate is one of the original eleven petitioners for Tri Delta's Dallas Southern Suburbs Alumnae Chapter and has held offices as President , Yearbook editor, Treasurer, and Reference Chair.
Nationally, Kate has been an Alumnae District Officer for eleven alumnae Tri Delta chapters for six years, the Collegiate District Officer for two years at Tri Delta's chapter at Stephen F. Austin University and the University of Arkansas. She is currently the Alumnae Financial Advisor for Tri Delta's chapter at Southwestern University, Texas A&M University at College Station and Corpus Christi.
Kate is a past President of our alumnae Panhellenic and currently holds the office of Treasurer and Reference Chair. Kate is a retired registered nurse and has three children: two daughters -- one a Tri Delta, one a Delta Zeta -- and a son who is a FIGI. Kate and husband Lloyd love to travel and are avid sailboaters.
COMMUNICATIONS CHAIR: CINDY MCPHERSON
Cindy is a graduate of Texas Tech University and a member of Sigma Kappa, Gamma Iota chapter. Cindy has been active in the Alumnae Panhellenic of Southern Dallas and Ellis Counties for the past two years. Cindy was a past President of the Dallas Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Kappa and was active in that chapter for several years.
Cindy is a project manager for Studeo Legal specializing in litigation support. She is married to Steve and has twins that are 22 and seniors in college.
